For the past 22 years, we have been cultivating a variety of fruits, flowers, and vegetables typical of the Indian farming system. However, for some years, we engaged in chemical farming at a considerable expense. Efforts were then made to transition to organic farming with reduced agricultural costs. In 2015, we officially embraced organic farming. The initial two years posed challenges as we were accustomed to chemical practices, but from the third year onwards, we started using organic remedies and incorporating cow dung. As a result, the cost of cultivating crops decreased, leading to increased yields of healthier produce. Subsequently, we began organically growing various vegetable seedlings, including 15-number papaya seedlings, to share this knowledge with farmers everywhere. The papaya variety, number 15, was selected on our home farm in 2014 and gained positive market responses. This variety became a permanent papaya crop for us, prompting its inclusion in our permanent selection. With the consistently high quality of its fruits in various markets, the demand for both seedlings and papaya fruits started to rise. Our efforts received an enthusiastic response, prompting the dissemination of our knowledge globally through Shinde Biotech. Our ongoing experiments focus on reducing farming costs and increasing farmer production through farmer group meetings and various organic techniques. In 2023, Ashok Kisan Shinde, the founder of Ashok Kisan Shinde, established Shinde Biotech Agro Research Technologies Private Limited. This private limited company aims to further advance organic farming practices and share valuable insights gained from years of experimentation.
